Children's Mermaid Classes
Sea Sprites
Beginner Level (Ages 6-11)
Sea Sprites learn the fundamental basics of Mermaiding and water safety. To enter the program children must be confident swimmers, capable of swimming at least two full pool lengths in deep water and swim underwater comfortably. Our Mermaid Instructors are all aquatic certified. We are swim instructors and lifeguard trained to promote fun new aquatic skills with maximum focus on water safety and proper monofin techniques. Sea Sprites begin by learning about their new tails, how they work and proper monofin introduction. Mermaids love YOGA! So once we get acquainted with our new tails we make sure to warm up before getting in the water. Proper class ratios are key to keeping our Sea Sprites safe and being able to offer the highest quality, personal introductory experience to Mermaiding. After all we love to see our Sea Sprites graduate to our Intermediate Little Merlings program where the fun just keeps on swimming!
Water Blossoms
Intermediate Level (Ages 6-11)

Now that you have learned the basics in your Sea Sprite introduction and become familiar with the proper swimming techniques Mermaids use, we are ready to hone our skills! In the Water Blossoms Class we always warm up the same way, with a little bit of Yoga, only now we can add few more graceful arm and hand movements to practice and apply to our AMAZING underwater performance! In the water we also focus on better breath control and get acquainted with no mask swimming. This class is designed to practice your skills and increase confidence in your tail and your monofin techniques. When your ready we will prepare you for your ultimate transformation! As your Mermaid Instructors we will be gushing with pride to watch our Water Blossoms graduate with the utmost confidence into our ultimate Mermaid Program where your TRUE Mermaid dreams come alive!

Advanced Level (Ages 6-11)

Mermaid level is not just about how natural we can feel in our tails, or how comfortable we are underwater. It is not just about how many tricks we can do or bubble hearts we can show off ( although all of these things are all totally super AMAZING and FUN!!!). In addition to all the tricks, tail twirling Underwater Photography and crazy mermaid shenanigans, Mermaid Level is as much about etiquette and learning respect & personal responsibility. Both for eachother and our marine environment. Divine Mermaid is a socially responsible, environmentally conscious company built on a foundation of strong core values and ethical practices. We believe strongly in the power of LOVE & connection. These fundamentals ultimately help us to foster empathy, compassion, strong leadership and personal growth. We strive to create long lasting relationships with our pods while inspiring conscious LOVING mentors, and passionate new Ocean Ambassadors. Students learn a variety of ways they can dedicate their transformation to benefit environment, and create positive change in their personal lives. This level incredibly helps Mers awaken their own unique sense of purpose and blossom with self confidence.
